EastEnders news LIVE – Shane Richie teases Alfie’s return to Albert Square plus Coronation Street and Emmerdale spoilers

After many twists and turns, Ben and Callum finally got married  – but next week the newlyweds return from their honeymoon to a shock.

For instance, Ben meets up with Callum only to find him with his colleague, Fitzy, but he quickly senses he’s not welcome and leaves them to it.

And another obstacle awaits next week as Phil Mitchell disowns Ben over his marriage to Callum.

Phil recently discovered that the policeman – who is played by actor Tony Clay in the BBC soap – was forced to go undercover by a dodgy cop.

    Next week, Sharon quizzes Toyah about Leanne’s recent visit in an attempt to discover more about her whereabouts.  

    Meanwhile, Natasha confronts Gary and accuses him of hiring the man with a van who kidnapped Sam.

    Jenny is intrigued when she overhears that it was in fact Sharon who hired the van.

  • EMMERDALE SPOILERS: BERNICE IS BACK!

    Bernice Blackstock is returning to Emmerdale, and noone is less pleased to see her than her conniving daughter Gabby.

    In fact, she full out rejects her.

    Next week, Gabby tells Bernice she’s made a new life for herself – and that she wants nothing to do with her.

    To be fair, we wouldn’t be happy to see a mother who abandoned us for more than a year to jet off somewhere sunny either…

  •  EMMERDALE SPOILER: LUKE POSNER’S SECRET FINALLY EXPOSED

    Ethan – who was revealed to be Luke’s former lover when he arrived in the village earlier this year – will discover something huge about Luke and go running to his mother Wendy.

    Viewers will see Wendy reeling from Ethan’s revelation and plead with Luke to be honest with her, but Luke refuses to open up.

    Meanwhile, an excited Vic reveals to Amy she’s planning on asking Luke to move in. 

    When Luke eventually tells Wendy what’s going on, she begs him not to let his past keep him from finding happiness.

  • EMMERDALE: RUNAWAY SAMSON?

    Things got pretty vicious between Sam and Samson tonight, with normally kind-hearted Sam fully taking out his anger on the youngster.

    Samson, who was suspended from school after threatening the boys who came after Lydia, ended the episode by running off and feeling like he didn’t belong in the family.

    Is he actually going to run away?

  • VIEWERS BLOWN AWAY BY ROY CROPPER’S HAIR TRANSFORMATION

    The actor – played by David Neilson – debuted his new barnet on yesterday’s episode of the ITV soap.

    The 72-year-old made the most of the coronavirus restrictions easing and treated himself to a stylish trim.

    The actor sported a shorter hairdo with some viewers insisting it «took years off» of him.

    His recent trip to the barbers sent viewers wild, with one writing: «Ah Roy. The haircut is great. #corrie»

    Another posted: «Loving the haircut Roy!! It’s taken years off you #coronationstreet»

  • CORRIE SPOILERS: SHARON SHOOTOUT DRAMA

    The former foster daughter of Rita Tanner – played by Tracie Bennett – was revealed to be drug dealer Harvey’s aunt in a shock twist following her arrival. 

    Later on, Gary spots the same van that was used to kidnap Sam outside the Kabin, and orders Rita to call the police.

    Disaster strikes, however, when the driver pulls out a gun. 

    As Maria checks on Rita, she suddenly hears a gunshot in the distance.

  • CORRIE: BLUNDER WITH LEANNE BATTERSBY WITNESS PROTECTION?

    Fans have spotted an infuriating error with Leanne Battersby’s witness protection storyline.

    Leanne – who is played by Jane Danson in the ITV soap – was forced to go into witness protection with her son Simon by the police to bring down evil dealer Harvey.

    One unimpressed viewer wrote: «Nick & now Leanne have returned to street. Have they looked up the term hideout?»

    Another wrote: «Why is everyone free to go about where they like in witness protection? #coronationstreet»

  • EMMERDALE: FANS BAFFLED OVER ID THEFT PLOT HOLE

    Samson Dingle – played by actor Sam Hall – tried to defend his stepmum Lydia in last night’s episode.

    The young lad tracked down two teenage thugs in school who had been threatening Lydia after she was wrongly accused of scamming locals out of their money.

    Lydia has had a rough couple of weeks, a brick was thrown through her window and barely made it out of the door before she was mugged by the boys.

    Samson planned revenge against the schoolboys by confronting the pair and threatening them with a crowbar.

    When the lads branded Lydia a scammer, Samson hit back insisting she was innocent and her identity had been stolen online.

  • BETH SET TO RETURN

    Coronation Street star Lisa George has returned to filming after months away shielding during the pandemic.

    The actress, who has played Beth Sutherland in the hit ITV soap for the last nine years, is now back filming on the soap.

    “First day back at work,” Lisa wrote alongside a picture of her backstage on the soap. 

    “Filming done and now catching up on fan Mail and scripts. Apologies to all those who have sent me letters and not had a response yet… 

    “I’m working through them… thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to write, it is much appreciated. I shall respond as soon as I can. All the best for now.”

  • EASTENDERS: OUT ON HIS EAR

    Turns out Sharon has a three strikes and you’re out policy when it came to her brother, and the Kheerat punch was number three.

    Zack looked gutted, stating he thought ‘she of all people would understand’.

    Is there something he’s not yet spoken about?

  • CORRIE WOMEN TAKE REVENGE ON TEEN KILLER COREY BRENT

    Brent is left for dead as Asha and Abi drug him to get him to confess to Seb’s murder next week in Coronation Street. 

    The teenage thug kicked Seb to death in an unprovoked hate crime because his girlfriend Nina was dressed as a goth – but framed Kelly Neelan for the attack.

    Viewers know that Corey’s girlfriend Asha has slowly been working to get him on side while plotting against him after realising he was guilty of Seb’s murder.

    She cooks up a plan with Seb’s grief-stricken mother, and slip the drugs into Corey’s drink knocking him unconscious – but he wakes after hearing a call from Nina.

    As a struggle ensues, Corey trips down the stairs. But what will happen to the teen killer?

  • EASTENDERS: PHIL DISOWNS BEN… AGAIN.

    Phil Mitchell is never going to win father of the year, is he?

    Eastenders have lined up yet another obstacle for Ben Mitchell as Phil disowns him over his marriage to ‘traitor’ Callum Highway.

    Phil recently discovered that his policeman beau was forced to go undercover by a dodgy cop.

    Callum confessed to Ben earlier this month and the pair split but they eventually reunited and got married.

    Despite Phil vowing to kill him.

    As they return return from their honeymoon, they are quickly brought down to earth with a bump.

  • LISA GEORGE RETURNS TO FILMING

    Coronation Street star Lisa George has returned to filming after months away shielding during the pandemic.

    The actress, who has played Beth Sutherland in the hit ITV soap for the last nine years, is now back filming on the soap.

    Lisa revealed that she has finally returned to work.

  • EASTENDERS ACTOR FACING DEPORTATION TO JAMAICA

    Actor Ace Ruele Aristotles is at risk of being deported to Jamaica, despite the fact he was born in London.

    The 33-year-old, who briefly appeared in EastEnders, has issued a heartfelt plea to the Home Office to help him resolve the issue.

    Ace was born in Greenwich and raised in northwest London – he has only visited Jamaica twice in his life.

    However his mum did not have British citizenship when he was born and while he was initially granted indefinite leave to remain, that was later revoked when he served a three-year prison sentence aged 19.

    The dad-of-three now has to pay £2,389 every 30 months to stay in the UK.

  • BROOKSIDE AND CORRIE LEGEND LANDS SOAP HAT-TRICK 

    Favourite Michael Starke has made it a hat-trick of soap roles after joining Hollyoaks.

    The veteran actor, 63, played Thomas ‘Sinbad’ Sweeney in the Merseyside soap for 16 years and had a year-long stint on Corrie as kebab shop owner Jerry Morton.

    He’s now returning to soapland for two episodes as a cabbie, with a source telling The Sun he’ll «witnesses some amusing conversations».

    The episodes will air Wednesday and Thursday next week on E4, and on C4 Thursday and Friday.

    Sinbad started out life on Brookside as a window cleaner before going on to open his own shop The Sweeney and working in a chippy.

    Looks like Evelyn has been paying a little too much attention to those ‘where there’s blame there’s a claim’ ads.

    Falling over in Dev’s shop, she’s after compensation.

    She settled for a cuppa but for some reason we don’t think this is over.

    A wannabe doctor with dreams of finding The One and a five year plan?

    Steve might be looking awkward as hell, but Emma looks like she’s just landed the jackpot.

    Is Curtis everything he says he is though or just trying to woo her?

  • EASTENDERS’ SHANE RICHIE TEASES RETURN

    The actor’s character Alfie appeared to have faked his own death in January 2019 after he scammed £50k from Phil Mitchell then disappeared. 

    But it seems the door is still very much open for Shane as he hinted at a possible return on ITV’s Lorraine this morning.

    Host Lorraine quizzed the soap actor on whether he would return to Albert Square.

    Shane replied: «I think he still owes money to Phil. And I know that Kat and Phil Mitchell are bumping ugly at the moment.

    «They’re getting together, so who knows? There might be a chance to turn up and spoil that little party…but you didn’t hear that from me.»

    Ben and Callum return home to find Vi is still at Stuart’s and they are on the blow-up bed.

    Ben later thanks Phil for the honeymoon but Phil makes it clear it’s the last thing they will be getting from him.

    Meanwhile, Suki is worried about Jags and Kheerat suggests asking Ben to help.

    In order to ensure he’s on Ben’s good side, Kheerat asks Sharon to keep their relationship quiet.

  • ADAM BARLOW REFUSES TO DONATE HIS LIVER TO DYING UNCLE 

    Upcoming episodes of the ITV soap sees Adam Barlow battles about his decision to donate his liver to his dying uncle Peter Barlow.

    Sarah begs Adam to reconsider donating his liver, suggesting that he’s only doing it out of guilt.

    Adam is torn, but he soon tells Sarah he’s taken his name off the donor list.

    But how is he going to break the news to Peter and Carla?

    Later in the week, Carla is fuming with Sarah and accuses her of talking Adam out of the transplant.
